New Forest Willow and New Forest Spruce are here now and quite inseparable.
Ewes looking rather heavy, not long to go now, mated to Hickory, the same lovely ram as last year.
Struggling with the worst flooding ever in my paddock, but the sheep don't seem to care, they use their walkways across the water into their nice dry shelter. I have been shutting them in at night just to dry their hooves off. I still have some grass on the slightly higher areas, which I have to ration out until the floods go down. In fact one of the ewes takes a short cut by cantering through the water to be first to get the sheep nuts
Hopefully the 3 ewes are pregnant to Hickory the ram I sold last year. Enquiries are coming in already. Jenna, Amelie and Evette are back from Kent where they have enjoyed the company of Hickory and his new wives. These ewes travel so well in a huge dog crate in the Freelander. Not a sound out of them.
